Last Years
For his 65th birthday, Hansjörg A. Salmony was presented with a Festschrift edited by his then assistants Andreas Cesana and Olga Rubitschon entitled PhilosophischeTradition im Dialog mit der Gegenwart (Basel: Birkhäuser,1985). It features among others fellow philosophers Jeanne Hersch (1910-2000), Xavier Tilliette (b. 1921), and Annemarie Pieper (b. 1941). (See Table of Contents under Festschrift.)
Hansjörg A. Salmony was forced to retire prematurely due to ill health. He held his last lecture on February 17, 1988 and passed away three years later to the day.
